The importance of ensuring you sit correctly at work is paramount! But there are also many other things to think about when sitting at your desk such as – are you taking regular screen breaks? Does you chair support your back? Are you sitting away from/close enough to the screen? These aspects and many more should be taken very seriously by your employer when you join.
You should be asked to do a DSE (Display Screen Equipment) assessment to determine how comfortable you are at your work space.
If you haven’t been asked to do one of these, speak to your office manager and insist you do you – it’s the law!
