Function’s first Red Box

Function has moved more than its fair share of legal people, but last week we went to the lofty heights of relocating Charles Falconer, Baron Falconer of Thoroton, who became the Lord Chancellor, the first Secretary of State for Constitutional Affairs and the first Secretary of State for Justice.

Although he was only moving to a different floor, there was quite a bit to do to make his relocation seamless. In addition to dismantling, moving and rebuilding the large workstation and bespoke bookcases, several unique antiques were safely transported to their new home. As well as assisting with moving books and a variety of documents, we safely transported Lord Falconer’s iconic ‘red box’ used for ministerial papers and his antique paintings to their new home.
