Glemark Generics Inc., the American pharmaceutical company needed a 70 person move from sites in Hatfield and Oxford to Watford including furniture dismantling and reassembly. The client had forewarned that the new building lift was temperamental and sure enough the faulty parts caused a breakdown half way through the delivery. Plan B was for the team to stay late and carry the items up the external staircase, which worked for a few hours until rain started to fall making the staircase too slippery to safely carry the items. Plan C was then put into action and the last crates and two safes were taken to a ground floor holding area until the lift was repaired. Function always gets there – whatever it takes!
